What it actually does
Tracker Mist finds your remote with Bluetooth and the Apple Find My network. It works best when the remote is in the same room — your iPhone rings it directly and you follow the sound. Further away, the map shows its last-seen location.
It's iPhone-only and requires iOS 14.5 or later. It doesn't make the remote louder, change channels by itself, or work with Android. For a living-room object finder, it's the exact right tool.
